Final exam: December 13, Thursday, 3:00-5:00 PM, location TBA.
On the midterm exams a one-sided handwritten help sheet is allowed together with the sheets from the previous midterm exams. On the final exam the three one-sided help sheets from the midterms together with a fourth one-sided sheet are allowed. These can all fit on two pieces of paper.Grading Information
Percent weights:
Clicker questions: 5%. Actual weight: 5%/0.8 = 6.25%. You are allowed to miss 20% of the clicker questions and you will still receive 5%.
Homework: 10%.
Midterm exams: 3 x 20% = 60%. The midterm exams will have correction exams. 30% of the positive difference between the correction exam and the in-class exam will be added to your in-class exam score as bonus.
Final Exam: 30%. The final exam will not have correction.
Grading scale:
4.0 >= 92%,
3.5 >= 84%,
3.0 >= 76%,
2.5 >= 68%,
2.0 >= 60%,
1.5 >= 52%,
1.0 >= 44%,
0.0 < 44%.
This grading scale might be lowered, but it will not be raised.Readings

Textbook
Serway, Faughn, College Physics, Vol. 1, MSU edition (paperback) with H-ITT clicker (either infrared (IR) or radio frequency (RF)). Online students don't need the clicker. (The MSU edition of the textbook is identical to the 7th edition. However the 6th or 5th editions are also fine.)
