Textbook

Randall D. Knight, Physics for scientists and engineers, Pearson Addison-Wesley, Volume 1. Either the 1st edition from 2004 (ISBN 0805390081) or the 2nd edition from 2007 (ISBN 0321516710) will be fine.

We will use only the textbook. The student workbook is not required, but it can be very useful.

Don't open the Mastering Physics access kit. We will use LON-CAPA, MSU's own free and flexible course management system instead.
