Course Description

PHY 234B: on-line calculus-based physics course. (The combination of PHY 232B plus PHY 234B is equivalent to PHY 184B.) Topics include: electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic waves and special relativity.

Prerequisites

(PHY 232 or PHY 232B) and MTH 133.

Helproom Hours

Strosacker Learning Center, Room 1248 BPS. Hours: Tue 10-12, Thu 5-9

Exam Information

There are three midterm exams, each covering the material of four homework sets. PHY 233B does not have a final exam.

Exam #1 (HW Set 01-04): 02/19/08, 5:00-6:00 pm, BPS 1415
Exam #2 (HW Set 05-08): 03/25/08, 5:00-6:00 pm, BPS 1415
Exam #3 (HW Set 09-12): 04/22/08, 5:00-6:00 pm, BPS 1415

Bring a calculator and two sharp #2 (HB) pencils to each exam. You are allowed to bring one 3"x5" index card with whatever information you deem relevant.
