Textbook

Randall D. Knight, Physics for scientists and engineers, Pearson Addison-Wesley, Volume 4. Either the 2nd edition from 2007 (ISBN 0321516745, Yellow-ish cover, steel ball and spring) or the 1st edition from 2004 (ISBN 0805390154, Red-Blue cover, steel ball on incline) will be fine.

We will use only the textbook. The student workbook is not required, but it can be very useful.

Don't open the Mastering Physics access kit CD. We will use LON-CAPA, MSU's own free and flexible course management system instead.
