Xanthium strumarium (Burweed) Shoot |
Below the epidermis is a ring of small collenchyma cells (K). The largest part of the shoot is made up from large parenchyma cells with thin walls (P). The vascular bundles (L) are arranged in a peripherous ring (p Phloem with small cells, x Xylem with large lumina). Fascicular (fK) and interfascicular (iK) cambium are present.
