Mode of Action of Ac (light blue)- and Ds (pink)-Elements

1. The translocation of Ac leads to a chromosomal fraction at a preformed site (Ds-position).
2. An Ac-element changes its location.
3. An Ac-element causes the translocation of a Ds-element. (according to N. FEDOROFF, 1984).
