MIMOSACEAE: Acacia - Phylloclades


Acacia cyanophylla: Mediterranean (Crete). Next to the normal leaves (not shown) are well-developed phylloclades.


Phylloclades: Acacia cyanophylla and Acacia glaucoptera: The leaves do never carry flowers.


Acacia nigrescens: knob tree, species of the Southern African savannah. The knob-like excrescences at the stem are remarkable. - Acacia melanoxylon: phylloclades and leaves exists side by side.
