Conservation and Sustainable Management of Trees: Provision of an information service on the distribution, conservation status, local uses and economic values of tree species worldwide
State of the World's Tropical Forests: Developing and testing methodologies for maintaining, storing and analysing information on the management, sustainable use and degradation of the world's tropical forests
Forest Resource Accounting: Provision of information on forests and forest monitoring to develop a system of forest management which meets the economic, environmental and social objectives of study countries including Pakistan and Guyana
World Forest Map: Compilation of the first digital global forest map showing actual forest extent and protected areas with forested land
Tropical Montane Cloud Forests: Gathering information on location, extent, management and conservation status of, and threats to, Tropical Montane Cloud Forests
Mapping Conservation Issues in Indonesia, Cameroon and the Sahel: Production of a series of poster maps illustrating conservation priorities in Indonesia, Cameroon and the Sahel to be used as a conservation planning tool
Global Classification and Nomenclature for Land Use and Land Cover: Developing a global land use and land cover nomenclature system
Conservation Atlas of Temperate and Boreal Forests: Publication of an atlas on temperate and boreal forests covering the extent, management regime and conservation threats to these forests
African Rainforest Poster Maps: Production of poster maps of the tropical moist forests of Africa, illustrating forest cover, for use as a technical tool by conservation professionals and as an educational tool for schools
Indo-Malayan Protected Areas Review: Updating the protected areas systems review of the Indo-Malayan region carried out in 1986
Gap Analysis of Forest Protected Areas in Europe: Assessment of the information available on forest cover and comparative gap analysis of protected areas and forest cover in Europe
Analysis of Low Forest Cover Countries: A report on the needs of countries with low forest cover, to promote activities aimed at conserving the existing coverage, paying attention to unique types of forests
Support for the Biodiversity Map Library: Support for the Biodiversity Map Library
CIFOR Data Management: Provision of access to information on forests to the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia
Support to the World Bank: Installation of the WCMC Biodiversity Map Library at the World Bank's headquarters in Washington and provision of training for key staff
