Anthocyaninless
(anl/ANL, mst2/MST2) F1 plants resemble basic Rbr; green with purple
anthocyanin in stems, leaves and bud tips; F1 seed coat yellow; male
fertile. Intermating F1 plants produces and F2 segregation ratio of 3 green
with purple to 1 green with no purple plant, which can be scored 3-5 days
after sowing. High light intensity enhances anthocyanin expression. Since mst2
is used to produce the F1 stock, the F2, if allowed to flower, will
segregate 3 fertile: 1 male sterile.

Yellow-Green
(ygr/YGR, mst2/MST2), F1 plants resemble basic Rbr; green with purple
anthocyanin in stems, leaves and bud tips; F1 seed coat brown; male fertile.
Intermating F1 plants produces and F2 segregation ratio of 3 green with
purple to 1 yellow-green with purple plant, which can be scored 3-5 days
after sowing. High light intensity enhances anthocyanin expression. Since mst2
is used to produce the F1 stock, the F1, if allowed to flower, will
segregate 3 fertile: 1 male sterile.

Anthocyaninless, Yellow-Green
(anl/ANL, YGR,ygr, mst2/MST2), F1 plants resemble basic Rbr; green
with purple anthocyanin in stems, leaves and bud tips; F1 seed coat yellow;
male fertile. Intermating F1 plants produces and F2 dihybrid segregation
ratio of 9:3:3:1 for anl and ygr, which can be scored 3-5 days after sowing.
High light intensity enhances anthocyanin expression. Since mst2 is
used to produce the F1 stock, the F2, if allowed to flower, will segregate 3
fertile: 1 male sterile.

Rosette
(ROS/ros, mst2/MST2), F1 plants resemble basic Rbr; green with purple
anthocyanin in stems, leaves and bud tips; F1 seed coat brown; male fertile.
Intermating F1 plants produces and F2 segregation ration of 3 normal to 1
rosette, which can be scored 4-7 days after sowing. Freshly harvested
rosette seed may not germinate uniformily; soaking hydrated dormant ros seed
for 1 to 10 minutes in 100 ppm gibberellic acid or removing hydrated seed
coat promotes germination. Since mst2 is used to produce the F1
stock, the F2, if allowed to flower, will segregate 3 fertile: 1 male
sterile
