This page collects available data about the genetics of snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus). Erwin Baur, one of the founders of the Max-Planck-Institut für Züchtungsforschung published 1924 a paper about investigations of the essence, appearance and heredity of racial differences in Antirrhinum majus. Since then his work has been continued in this institute up to todays molecular genetics. (See also the fulltext book about Erwin Baur ( Erwin Baur: Naturwissenschaft und Politik).
