"Beet" - pest management simulation for a sugar beet crop, Centre for Computer-based Learning (CBL) in Land Use and Environmental Sciences (CLUES), University of Aberdeen. "Beet" uses sugar beet as a case study to enable students to gain experience of the issues and risks involved in executing a strategy for pesticide management in crop production. It is presented as a game in which players manage a beet crop on 40 hectares and can be given a variety of objectives, from maximising profits to minimising the environmental effects of pestidice use.

Crop Protection Compendium, published by CAB International. The Crop Protection Compendium, which is available on CD-ROM, was developed as a relational database by CABI in cooperation with other Societies and Organizations. On the homepage you will find detailed information on the product, the history of the compendium, future developments, tips, how to order the compendium and feedback. In 'The First Product' you will find a demonstration of the compendium, which is a guided tour through what you will find on the CD. I had the chance to see the compendium working on a meeting last year and I really was impressed and I want everybody to invite to see the demo. It is a must for plant pathologists.

The DELTA System - DEscription Language for TAxonomy. The DELTA format is a flexible and powerful method of recording taxonomic descriptions for computer processing. It has been adopted as a standard for data exchange by the International Taxonomic Databases Working Group.

The software accepts classic dichotomic tree-based keys for species determining. Multiple keys can be used at once. Diagnosis (Vers. 2.1) for Crop Protection. A joint project between Deptartment of Plant Science, Massey University, New Zealand and the Co-operative Research Centre for Tropical Pest Management, QLD, Australia. Diagnosis is a multimedia software package that aids in teaching the process of diagnosing crop problems. The user is presented with a problem scenario and must interrogate the program to diagnose the situation. Diagnosis is an interactive 'adventure game' for Plant Pathology. On this website you will find all information about this exciting approach. See some screenshots of the program, download one of the over 20 scenarios or get a free demo. This site gives also a good introduction to 'Diagnosis'. 'System Requirements' and a 'How to order' page are available. The new version 2.1 continous the the development of this interactive tool. Since its creation Diagnosis has become one of the milestones for interactive learning in plant pathology and the diagnosis of diseases especially for students. Teachers in Plant Pathology should not miss this website and fantastic program. This is a MUST!

Orthoptera DB: Taxonomy and Collection Manager. "Orthoptera DB 2.0" is a relational database manager designed primarily for entomologists and it is shareware. you will get information on the program and its features. You can download the program.

Oxford Soil-Plant-Microbe Models, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK. Simulation models for the study of complex soil processes and soil-plant-microbial interactions.
