Virtual Rice Growth

<A HREF="movies/rice.mov">Download movie <IMG HEIGHT="117" WIDTH="100" SRC="thumbnails/rice.gif" ALIGN="LEFT">(975k) </A> This prototype model represents the growth of a single japonica-type rice plant during a whole growing season.  Growth rate is depend on both temperature and photoperiod. A main stem produces primary tillers and each tiller and leaf changes its pitch angle to its parent tiller as new tillers develop. The total number of tillers is 6.
