Antirrhinoside Biosynthesis

Attention: This file is now outdated since Søren Rosendal Jensen submitted a more complete version of the antirrhinoside biosynthesis.

The biosynthesis of antirrhinoside was investigated by Damtoft S. et al. 1995. The following scheme follows their Scheme 1. Antirrhinoside is an iridoid glucoside found among Scrophularioideae and especially with Antirrhinae. It is the main iridoid in Antirrhinum majus and constitutes about 2% of the fresh weight of the plant.
