When you in a hurry ... (Direct Hit Technology)

New search technology (e.g. Direct Hit) provides highly relevant results for any Internet search. By analyzing the activity of millions of previous Internet searchers, this search procedure determines the most relevant sites for your search request.

! Take Google, and Google Advanced Web Search. Results are delivered in order of importance and relevance. The heart of Google´s software is PageRank(TM), a system for ranking web pages. This fast search engine performs "and" queries by default, so it only returns those pages that include all of the search terms. You can also search by phrase with quotation marks ("like this"). Quick and precise. Excellent! Worth checking out:
Paula Dragutsky, Suite101.com: Search and Metasearch Engines, Google: A Review And Search Tips.

Direct Hit. By analyzing the activity of millions of previous Internet searchers, Direct Hit determines the most relevant sites for your search request. Icons (1-5) are used to identify the sites that previous searchers have found useful in satisfying similar search requests. The most relevant web sites are marked with "5". Try Direct Hit on Our Partners' Sites.

Fast Search (without Direct Hit tech). Unique parallel architecture based on Dell servers delivers fast, fresh and most relevant search results. The current catalog contains over 600 million full-text documents.

HotBot Lycos Network), and HotBot (Lycos.de). Provides most-relevant results (CNET Search Engine Shoot-Out). HotBot has incorporated Direct Hit's search engine. You will know that you have received Direct Hit results when you see the "Powered By Direct Hit" logo at the bottom of the results page.

Lycos, and Lycos.de. Direct Hit results will appear under the "Popular" heading for the majority of searches.
